Charles Lago a native of Great Britain had a successful career in law enforcement before settling in the United States in the early nineties.

In 1993 Charles founded the live performance venue Between The Pages Playhouse in Palm Springs, CA.  He quickly made his stamp by producing the avante garde, namely well known performance artists as well the up and coming playwrights out of Los Angeles and across the United States.

In 1994 Charles began working as the manager and producer for Quentin Crisp, the critically acclaimed author and raconteur who took London’s West End by storm with his one-man show, An Evening with Quentin Crisp. After Quentin moved to the United States, Charles then helped revise and launch the show for a national tour of the U.S., again to critical acclaim.

Around this time, Charles also became the manager for performance artist Annie Sprinkle.  Bringing her to the forefront as one of the US’s more prominent live performance artists with her show, Annie Sprinkle: Herstory of Porn.

Charles eventually sold Between The Pages Playhouse and moved to San Diego, CA to continue his producing career.  In 1998 the San Diego Union Tribune named Charles, "The most prolific theater producer in San Diego.”

While working in theater, Charles, who always had a business interest in books and authors, started organizing author book tours around the country on behalf of publishers. He has worked with many well-known authors organizing successful book tours, book signing's and lectures.

During this time Charles continued to organize book tours for individual authors and publishers. In 2002 Charles founded Authors On Tour, a full service author pr company.  He personally organized events for authors such as Arianna Huffington, former Presidential Speech-Writer David Frum, Mariel Hemmingway, Heidi Fliess, and Susan McDougal.  Other authors quickly followed and within a few months, Charles was representing up to six authors at a time.

In 2003 Charles founded the Palm Springs Book Festival and to this day continues to be the principle organizer of this ever-growing successful event.

Authors on Tour continued to grow working with authors, entertainers and corporate clients.  To better serve it’s clients, Authors on Tour was renamed Polimedia Entertainment.

Branching out to now work with film and production companies to promote documentaries and films with a eco/politico/socio message as well as continuing to work with authors and entertainers alike.
